يهدف البحث الحالي إلى تعرّف على بعض المهارات الاجتماعية للأطفال وعلاقتها بتقبل أقرانهم بالصف وبعض المتغيرات الديموغرافية، وتكونت عينة البحث من 72 طفلا يتراوح أعمارهم بين 66: 74 شهرًا من رياض الأطفال بنزوي بسلطنة عمان. وتم استخدام اختبار المهارات الاجتماعية وتضمن مهارة "المشاركة والمساعدة، واحترام الآخر، وطلب المساعدة" كأداة للقياس، وتوصل البحث إلى وجود علاقة ارتباطية دالة إحصائيّا بين كل من مهارتي المشاركة وطلب المساعدة للأطفال وقبول الأقران بالصف، كما تبين وجود فروق دالة إحصائياً بين المجموعات في مهارة "احترام الآخر" باختلاف النوع الاجتماعي، ومهارة "المساعدة والمشاركة" باختلاف الترتيب الميلادي والمستوى الاقتصادي للأسرة، ومهارة "طلب المساعدة" باختلاف حجم الأسرة والمستوى التعليمي للأب. The current research aimed at identifying some social skills of kindergarteners as perceived by their class peers and recognizing the relationship between the kindergarteners’ social skills and some demographic variables. The research was conducted on 72 kindergarteners from kindergartens in Sultanate of Oman, aged 66-74 months. Four social skills were identified: cooperation, assistance, respect for others, and ask for help. The research results revealed significant correlation between two skills possessed by the children (cooperation and assistance) and peers acceptance. Significant difference in the respect for others skill was revealed due to gender. Both cooperation and assistance skills have shown significant differences in relation to the birth order of children and to the family economic status. The skill of ask for help has shown significant differences in relation to the family size and to the fathers education level. (Published abstract)
