هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على اتجاهات طلاب كلية الهندسة في جامعة نجران نحو العوامل )الموضوعات) المرتبطة باستبقاء الطلاب في كليتهم حتى التخرج. وقد استخدمت الدراسة استبانة مصممة في جامعة أوريجون الحكومية بعد ترجمتها وتكييفها من الباحث. وقد حللت باستخدام التكرارات والنسب المئوية والمتوسطات والانحرافات المعيارية واختبارات. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى نتائج أهمها: أن أعضاء هيئة التدريس يركزون على أسلوب المحاضرة، مما أدى إلى ضعف التواؤم مع أنماط التعلم المختلفة لدى طلاب كلية الهندسة، بالإضافة إلى ضعف في الإعداد المسبق والحالي لديهم أيضا، أما الاتجاهات نحو الهندسة ونحو المهنة فكانت إيجابية. كما كشفت الدراسة عن عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في استجابات طلاب كلية الهندسة بجامعة نجران تعزى للتخصص أو السنة الدراسية. This study aimed to identify the College of Engineering students’ attitudes about the factors (themes) associated with students’ retention in the college until graduation. The study used a questionnaire designed and developed at Oregon State University. The questionnaire was translated and adapted by the researcher. Data were analyzed using frequencies, percentages, averages, standard deviations, and T-tests. The most important results of the study were that: faculty members are focusing on the lecture in their teaching method, which led to the weakness of twins with different learning styles of the Engineering students, in addition to the weakness of the previous and current preparation. Also, students’ attitude towards engineering study and profession was positive. The study also revealed that there are no statistically significant differences in the responses of students of the College of Engineering, Najran University due to the major or the study level.
