تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على المشكلات الأكاديمية التي تواجه أعضاء هيئة التدريس في جامعة آل البيت من وجهة نظرهم، ومعرفة ما إذا كانت هنالك فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في وجود المشكلات الأكاديمية تعود لمتغيري: سنوات الخبرة، والمؤهل العلمي. ولتحقيق ذلك قام الباحثان بتطوير استبانة تضمنت 35 فقرة موزعة على خمسة مجالات: المشكلات المتعلقة بعضو هيئة التدريس، والمشكلات المتعلقة بإدارة الجامعة، والمشكلات المتعلقة بنظام الترقية، والمشكلات المتعلقة بالبحث العلمي، وأجريت الدراسة على عينة قوامها 96 عضوا. وقد بينت نتائج الدراسة، أن أكثر المشكلات حدة كانت في مجالي المشكلات المتعلقة بالطلبة، والترقية، وأقلها حدة المشكلات المتعلقة بإدارة الجامعة، وعدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين أصحاب الرتب الأكاديمية المختلفة في المشكلات المتعلقة بالطلبة، وعضو هيئة التدريس، والإدارة، ووجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين أصحاب الرتب الأكاديمية المختلفة في مجالي البحث العلمي، والترقية، وعدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين عدد سنوات الخبرة في جميع المجالات. The study was designed to identify the kinds of problems confronted by faculty members in Al-Bayt University and to determine any statistical differences related to the variables of experience and professional qualifications among the faculty. The research tool used in the study was a questionnaire, which consisted of 35 items distributed across five fields: problems related to faculty members, problems related to students, problems related to the university administration, problems related to the promotion system, and problems related to the scientific research. The questionnaire sample consisted of 96 faculty members. The findings of the study indicate that major problems were related to problems with students as well as promotional procedures, while minor problems were related to the administrative system of the University. Further, the results indicate that there were no statistical significant differences related to the different ranks of faculty members with regard to problems concerning students, faculty members and the administration. There were, however, statistical significant differences between the different ranks of faculty members with regard to problems related to scientific research and promotional procedures. There were no statistical significant differences due to experience. (Published abstract)
