هدفت الدراسة إلى بيان الأطر النظرية لقضية المواطنة وآليات تنميتها لدى طلبة الجامعة، ورصد جهود جامعة جازان في تنمية المواطنة لدى طلبتها من خلال ممارسة الأنشطة الطلابية، كما هدفت إلى الكشف عن وجهات نظر طلبة جامعة جازان فيما يتعلق بدور الأنشطة الطلابية في تنمية المواطنة لديهم، وبيان مدى تأثر وجهة نظرهم بمتغيرات الدراسة، ولتحقيق هذه الأهداف تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي، وبناء أداة توافرت فيها الخصائص السيكومترية، وتكوّنت في صورتها النهائية من (31) فقرة توزعت إلى خمسة محاور رئيسة: النشاط الثقافي والاجتماعي (8 فقرات)، والرياضي (7 فقرات)، والمسرحي (5 فقرات)، والإبداعي (5 فقرات)، والنشاط الكشفي (6 فقرات)، وطُبّقت على عينة عشوائية من طلبة جامعة جازان بلغت (305) طالبًا، وكشفت النتائج أن موافقة طلبة جامعة جازان على مساهمة النشاط الثقافي والاجتماعي في تنمية المواطنة لديهم قد جاءت بدرجة كبيرة جدًا، وبالنسبة للنشاط الرياضي والمسرحى والإبداعي قد جاءت بدرجة كبيرة، أما النشاط الكشفي فقد جاءت بدرجة متوسطة، كما بينت النتائج عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تُعزى لمتغيرات الدراسة. وانتهت الدراسة بتقديم تصورًا مقترحًا لتنمية المواطنة لدى طلبة الجامعة باستخدام الأنشطة الطلابية. This study aimed at pointing out the theoretical foundations of the development of citizenship among university students, and detecting the perceptions of Jazan University students regarding the role of students’ activities in developing citizenship, and showing whether or not there were significant differences among the participants’ perceptions due to the study variables. The research used the descriptive method, and designed a survey of (31) items to collect the data. The survey was divided into five sections: Social and Cultural activities (8 items); Physical activity (7 items); Theatre activity (5 items); Innovation activity (5 items) and Scouting activity (6 items). The sample consisted of (305) students randomly selected from Jazan university colleges. The results indicated that the role of Social and Cultural activities in developing citizenship among students was very high; whereas the roles of Physical, Theatre and Innovation activities were high, but the role of Scouting activity was moderate, and there were no significant differences among the participants’ responses due to the variables of the study. The study has concluded with a proposed perception to develop citizenship among university students using students’ activities. (Published abstract)
