The study aimed to identify the strategic planning and the importance of its applications in the administrations of middle schools education (Rusafa I) and its relation to the success rates achieved model 2016/2017, To achieve the objective of the study and its hypotheses, a tool was prepared consisting of (40) paragraphs spread over five areas (school mission, school vision, strategic goals, analysis of the internal and external environment of the school) The tool was tested on a sample of (102) managers and managers in Baghdad Al Rusafa I / Iraq. The data were analyzed by extracting the arithmetical averages and the standard deviations. The results showed a statistically significant difference between the mean and the mean, and the difference in favor of the sample mean. The results also showed a statistically significant difference between the arithmetic mean of the fields of vision and analysis of the internal environment of the school while preparing differences for the other fields (thesis, External environment), ). There is also no statistically significant difference between the average estimates of the sample of the study due to the variables (gender, years of service, training courses). The researcher recommended that the strategic planning should be applied, that it be properly implemented, and that the theoretical framework that fits the philosophy and work methods of departments Preparatory Schools in Iraq.
