تناولت هذه الدراسة موضوعاً حيوياً ذو إرتباط وثيق بالتربية التي إرتبطت بمستقبل صناعة الأمم وتهذيب أجيالها، وبالمعلومات ومن يمتلكها لا ينقصه شيئ، فكان موضوع دراستنا المعلومات التربوية من حيث التعريف بمفهومها، وضرورتها، وعلاقة المعلومات بالتعليم، واهميتها، ودور المعلومات في التربية والمستفيدون منها ومظاهر الإهتمام بها. بالإضافة إلى وظائف مؤسسات المعلومات التربوية، ثم أنواعها ومصادرها التقليدية (الورقية) والحديثة (الإلكترونية)، ونماذج لقواعد بياناتها العربية والأجنبية المتاحة مجانياً أو بالإشتراك عبر شبكة الإنترنت.أختتمت الدراسة بأن جميع دول العالم في أمس الحاجة للمعلومات التربوية ولاسيما دول العالم الثالث لأنها سبيلها الوحيد للنهوض وبناء مجتمع المعرفة، وان الأنظار الآن تتجه نحو قواعد البيانات التربوية لما يميزها عن غيرها، مع التنبية إلى ضرورة الإشتراك في مثل هذه القواعد. This study deals with a subject vital with a closely related education, which was associated with the future of the industry of nations and refine the generations, and the information is owned by not missing anything, was the subject of our study educational information in terms of the definition of concept, and its necessity, and the relationship of information, education, and its importance, the role of information in education and beneficiaries and the manifestations of interest them. In addition to the functions of institutions, educational information, and types and sources of traditional (paper) and modern (electronic), and models for the databases of Arab and foreign available free or subscribe online. The study concluded that all the countries of the world in desperate need of information of educational, especially third world countries because they track only to rise up and build a knowledge society, and that attention is now moving towards bases educational data to distinguish it from others, with the alert to the need to subscribe to such bases.
