تهدف هذه الورقة لتسليط مزيد من الضوء على أهمية التوظيف الفعال لتقنية المعلومات والاتصالات في تطوير برامج التعليم العام في السودان وتحسين مخرجاته. تطرقت الدراسة إلى معوقات توظيف التعليم الإلكتروني في برامج التعليم العام في السودان، وإلى السبل التي يمكن اتخاذها في سبيل تذليل هذه المعوقات بغية الوصول لأفضل الحلول، الأمر الذي يسهم في ترقية وتطوير برامج التعليم العام. كما أشارت إلى أهمية تطويع تقنية المعلومات والاتصالات بغية تيسير العملية التعليمية مما يمكن الطالب من أن يتعلم تبعاً لقدراته واستعداداته. أوضحت الورقة كذلك أن التعليم الإلكتروني المبني على التوظيف الفعال لتقنيتي المعلومات والاتصالات يعد من أفضل الطرق لتطوير التعليم ورفع جودته. دعت الورقة كذلك إلى ضرورة تغيير النظرة إلى التعليم الإلكتروني من مجرد أدوات ووسائل معينة للمعلمين إلى كونه منظومة تدريسية ضمن منظومة تربوية تستوجب أن يخطط لها تخطيطاً جيداً وأن تهيأ لها البيئة المناسبة. اقترحت الدراسة إنشاء مركز قومي لإنتاج وتطوير البرمجيات التعليمية تؤول تبعيته لرئاسة مجلس الوزراء أسوة بمراكز ومجالس أخرى في محيط بعض الدول العربية.(الملخص المنشور)

This study aims to shed more light on the importance of the effective use of information and communication technology (ICT) the development of general instruction programs in Sudan, and improvement of their outcomes. The study addressed the obstacles that confront the effective use of electronic learning in general Instruction programs, and the possible means that can be taken to overcome them. The study also referred to the importance of adapting ICT in facilitating the instructional process, so that our pupils can learn according to their abilities and aptitudes. Moreover, the study showed that electronic learning that based on effective use of ICT is considered as one of the best methods in developing the educational process, and in improving its quality. In addition to that, this study asked for changing our perception on electronic learning from just tools and devices that help teachers in presenting their instructive materials inside the classroom, to an instructional teaching style embedded in our educational system, and this of course requires an adequate planning and preparation of a suitable environment. The study suggested an establishment of a National Center for production and developing of instructional multimedia software for our pupils enrolled in general education programs. It is also proposed that this National Center should belong to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers like other similar centers in some Arab countries. (Published Abstract)
