هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة أثر استخدام برمجية جيوجيبرا في اكتساب عينة من طلبة الصف التاسع الأساسي في المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية مفاهيم الهندسة الإحداثية، ولتحقيق ذلك تم اختيار أفراد عينة الدراسة قصديا من طالبات الصف التاسع الأساسي، وتوزيعهن على مجموعتين: المجموعة التجريبية وتضم 27 طالبة خضعن للتدريس باستخدام برمجية جيوجيبرا، والمجموعة الضابطة وتضم 32 طالبة خضعن للتدريس باستخدام الطريقة الاعتيادية. وطبق عليهن اختبار تحصيلي قبلي وبعدي- بعد التأكد من خصائصه السيكومترية: الصدق والثبات ومعاملات الصعوبة والتمييز- في مفاهيم الهندسة الإحداثية مكون من 24 فقرة استمدّت محتوياتها من وحدة الهندسة الإحداثية من كتاب الرياضيات للصف التاسع الأساسي من العام الدراسي 2011-2012م. وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود فرق ذي دلالة إحصائية بين المتوسطين الحسابيين الخاصين بأداء مجموعتي الدراسة على اختبار التحصيل في مفاهيم الهندسة الإحداثية ولصالح أداء طالبات المجموعة التجريبية واللواتي خضعن للتدريس باستخدام برمجية جيوجيبرا. وفي ضوء نتائج الدراسة، أوصى الباحث بتدريس مفاهيم الهندسة الإحداثية باستخدام برمجية جيوجبيرا، لما لها من آثار إيجابية في عملية التعلم. The objective of the study was to examine the effect of using Geogebra software on Jordanian 9th grade students for coordinates geometry concepts. To achieve the objective of the study, the researcher used a purposeful sample of 9th grade female students. The sample was assigned randomly to experimental group 27 female students taught coordinates geometry concepts using Geogebra software and a control group 32 female students taught the same concepts using the traditional instructional method. Both groups were administrated a 24 items pre-and post achievement test. Reliability, validity, discrimination and difficulty coefficients were established for the achievement test. Items of the test were drawn from 9th grade mathematics textbook-ccordinates geometry unit in the academic yeat 2011-2012. Results of the study indicated significant differences in the means scores of both study groups in their performance on the achievement test measuring acquisition level for coordinates geometry, in favor of experimental group students. In light of these results, the researcher recommends the use of Geogebra software in teaching coordinates geometry concepts as it has positive effects of students learning for such concepts.
