هدفت الدراسة التعرف إلى درجة ممارسة الإدارة بالتجوال لدى مديري المدارس المهنية وعلاقتها بدرجة الأداء الوظيفي لدى معلمي تلك المدارس. تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتكونت عينة الدراسة التي اختيرت بطريقة قصدية من (335) من معلمي المدارس المهنية في فلسطين خلال العام الدراسي (2011 - 2010) وشكلت ما نسبته (79%) من مجتمع الدراسة الذي يتكون من (422) معلما ومعلمة. وتحقيقاً لأهداف الدراسة تم تطوير أداتين: الأولى لقياس درجة ممارسة الإدارة بالتجوال لدى مديري المدارس المهنية، والثانية لقياس درجة الأداء الوظيفي، وجرى التحقق من صدقهما بعرضهما على مجموعة من المحكمين، وجرى التحقق من ثباتهما. وللإجابة على أسئلة الدراسة، تم إجراء المعالجة الإحصائية المناسبة منها: حساب المتوسطات الحسابية، والانحرافات المعيارية، ومعامل ارتباط بيرسون لحساب قوة العلاقة واتجاهها بين درجة ممارسة الإدارة بالتجوال لدى مديري المدارس المهنية ودرجة الأداء الوظيفي لدى معلمي تلك المدارس. وقد جاءت نتائج الدراسة على النحو الآتي: 1) إن درجة ممارسة الإدارة بالتجوال لدى مديري المدارس المهنية كانت ما بين متوسطة إلى مرتفعة (68% من مديري المدارس المهنية كان معدل ممارستهم للإدارة بالتجوال ما بين 4.42 -2.9 من 5). 2) إن درجة الأداء الوظيفي لدى معلمي المدارس المهنية من وجهة نظرهم كانت ما بين متوسطة إلى مرتفعة(68% من معلمي المدارس المهنية كانت درجة ممارستهم للأداء الوظيفي ما بين 4.23 -3.27 من 5). 3) وجود علاقة ذات دلالة إحصائية بين كافة مجالات درجة ممارسة الإدارة بالتجوال لدى مديري المدارس المهنية ودرجة الأداء الوظيفي لدى معلمي تلك المدارس، إذ بلغ معامل الارتباط (r= 0.715) وبمستوى دلالة (p<0.001). وفي ضوء النتائج أوصت الدراسة بضرورة تصميم برامج تدريبية لتعزيز وتطوير وتنمية مهارات وخبرات مديري المدارس في مجالات الإدارة بالتجوال من حيث مفاهيمها وعملياتها. وحث مديري المدارس المهنية على ممارسة الإدارة بالتجوال لما في ذلك من توفير الوقت الكافي لاكتشاف الحقائق، وتحديد المشكلات، وتحسين الاتصال، وتحفيز المعلمين، وتحقيق التطوير والإبداع لاختيار الأنسب من القرارات لمعالجة الأزمات التي تمر بها هذه المدارس. وضرورة ربط منهجية ممارسة الإدارة بالتجوال في آلية تفعيل الأداء الوظيفي التي تحقق الانسجام مع الأهداف الاستراتيجية الموضوعة والمراد تحقيقها في المدارس المهنية. The study aimed to explore the degree of practicing management by walking around among the vocational schools Principals and its relationship with the degree of job performance among these school, teachers. The descriptive analytical approach was used and the sample, which was intentionally selected, consisted of 335 teachers in the vocational schools in Palestine during the academic year (2010 - 2011) and constituted almost 79% of the study’s community that consisted of (422) male and female teachers. To achieve the objectives of the study, two tools have been developed. The first tool was used to measure the degree by which management by walking around has been practiced by the Principals of the vocational schools. The second one was used to measure the job performance. The validity of the two tools has been checked by presenting them to a group of specialists who checked their consistency. To answer the study questions, the proper statistical processing has been conducted including: Finding means, standard deviations, the pearson correlation coefficient to calculate the relationship between power and direction and practicing of management by walking around among the principals of the vocational schools, and the degree of functional performance among the teachers of these schools. In the light of the results, the study recommended the necessity to design training programs that would enhance and develop the skills and expertise of the principals in the fields of management by walking around with respect to its concepts and operations. It also urges the Principals of vocational schools to practice management by walking around because it provides enough time to identify problems, improve communication, motivate teachers, as well as achieve development and creativity to select the best decisions in order to treat the crises that these schools confront. It is also important to link the methodology used in practicing management by walking around within the mechanism of activating the job performance that achieves harmony with the designated strategic goals that are required to be achieved in vocational schools.
