هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على النمط القيادي السائد وأنماط التكيف لدى العمداء في ثلاث جامعات حكومية أردنية، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من 21 عميد كلية. وكانت أداة الدراسة عبارة عن وصف النمط والتكيف القيادي LEAD-Self. وتم استخراج المتوسطات الحسابية والانحرافات المعيارية والتكرارات واختبار كاي تربيع للإجابة عن أسئلة الدراسة التالية: 1) كيف يتصور عمداء الكليات أنماطهم القيادية. 2) ما مستوى التكيف بين العمداء؟ 3) هل توجد فروق ذات دلالة في تصورات العمداء لأنماطهم القيادية باختلاف نوع الكلية والخبرة في المركز الحالي؟ 4) هل توجد فروق ذات دلالة في تصورات العمداء لمدى التكيف باختلاف نوع الكلية والخبرة في المركز الحالي؟ وأسفرت نتائج الدراسة عن أن العمداء اختاروا النمط القيادي البائع كنمط قيادي رئيسي، والنمط القيادي المشارك كنمط قيادي ثانوي. أما مدى التكيف فقد جاء ضمن المدى المتوسط.
