هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف إلى وجهات نظر وآراء ومعتقدات طلبة كلية العلوم التربوية في جامعة مؤته تجاه الاضطرابات النفسية، وكذلك معرفة مدى الاختلاف في هذه الآراء والمعتقدات تبعًا لكل من متغيرات الجنس، والمستوى الدراسي، والتخصص، والمعدل التراكمي. حيث جرى اختيار عينة مكونة من 331 طالبًا من طلبة كلية العلوم التربوية في جامعة مؤتة. وقد بينت نتائج الدراسة وجود مستوى أعلى من المتوسط بقليل في آراء ومعتقدات طلبة كلية العلوم التربوية تجاه الاضطرابات النفسية. كما بينت النتائج عدم وجود فروق ذات أهمية في آراء ومعتقدات طلبة كلية العلوم التربوية تجاه الاضطرابات النفسية باختلاف أي من جنس الطلبة، أو مستواهم الدراسي، أو معدلاتهم التراكمية، أو تخصصاتهم بشكل عام. في حين أشارت النتائج إلى فروق ذات أهمية في آراء ومعتقدات طلبة كلية العلوم التربوية تجاه الاضطرابات النفسية باختلاف تخصصاتهم في بعد المخاطر، وبعد عدم الثقة والشعور بالحرج، حيث كان متوسط طلبة تخصص التربية الخاصة أعلى من متوسط طلبة تخصص الإرشاد في هذين البعدين.(الملخص المنشور)

This study seeks to uncover perceptions and beliefs among students in the College of Educational Sciences at Mutah University about psychological disturbance as relates to gender, level of study, field of specialization, and GPA. Statistical analysis of data from a study sample consisting of 331 students studying the specialization of special education shows them to be slightly above average in their perceptions and beliefs about psychological disturbance among university students. Results indicate no statistically significant difference in the students’ perceptions and beliefs about psychological disturbance as relates to gender, level of study, field of specialization, or GPA. However, results do indicate a statistically significant difference among students as relates to their field of specialization regarding two dimensions: danger and untrustworthiness; and embarrassment. Students in the field of special education demonstrated higher averages in their perceptions and beliefs about psychological disturbance in these two domains as compared to students in the counseling specialization.
