استهدفت الدراسة الكشف عن واقع تضمين مفاهيم السياحة العلمية بمحتوى كتب العلوم الطبيعية بالمرحلة الثانوية بالمملكة العربية السعودية، ولتحقيق هذا الهدف استخدم الباحثان المنهج الوصفي باستخدام أسلوب تحليل المحتوى، وتم إعداد بطاقة تحليل محتوى تضمنت قائمة مفاهيم السياحة العلمية التي ينبغي تضمينها كتب العلوم الطبيعية بالمرحلة الثانوية، والتي تكونت من (22) مفهوما. تكونت عينة الدراسة من (13) كتابا من كتب العلوم الطبيعية بالمرحلة الثانوية (الفيزياء، الكيمياء، الأحياء، علم البيئة، علم الأرض) مع دليل التجارب العملية لكل كتاب. توصلت الدراسة إلى أن (12) مفهوما من أصل (22) مفهوما من مفاهيم السياحة العلمية وردت في كتب العلوم الطبيعية لمفاهيم السياحة العلمية وبنسبة بلغت (54.5%). فقد جاء بنسبة (18.2%)، (22.7%)، (22.7%)، (9.1%) لكتب الفيزياء الأربعة على التوالي، في حين جاء التضمين بنسب (13.6%) لكتاب كيمياء (1)، و(9.1%) لكتاب كيمياء (2)، و(18.2%) لكتاب كيمياء (3) بينما لم يرد أي مفهوم من مفاهيم السياحة العلمية في كتاب كيمياء (4)، بينما كان التضمين بنسبة (9.1%) لكتاب أحياء (1)، بينما لم يرد أي مفهوم من مفاهيم السياحة العلمية في كتاب أحياء (2) وكتاب أحياء (3). وبنسبة (36.4%) لكتاب علم البيئة، وبنسبة (22.7%) لكتاب علم الأرض. كما بينت النتائج أن هناك (10) مفاهيم من أصل (22) وبنسبة (45.5%) لم تضمن إطلاقا في أي كتاب من كتب العلوم الطبيعية بالمرحلة الثانوية، كما دلت النتائج على وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى دلالة (0.05) في تناول كتب العلوم الطبيعية لمفاهيم السياحة العلمية تعزى لتخصص الكتاب، والمستوى الذي يدرس به. The current study aimed to reveal the reality of including the concepts of scientific tourism in the content of natural science books at the secondary school students in Saudi Arabia. To achieve this goal, the researchers used the descriptive approach using the content analysis method. A content analysis card was prepared that included a list of scientific tourism concepts that should be included in natural science books at the secondary level, which consisted of (22) concepts related to scientific tourism. The study sample consisted of (13) books from natural science books for the secondary school students (physics, chemistry, biology, ecology, earth science) with a guide to practical experiments for each book. The study concluded that (12) out of (22) concepts of scientific tourism were mentioned in the natural sciences books for scientific tourism concepts, at a rate of (54.5%). It came at a rate of (18.2%), (22.7%), (22.7%), (9.1%) for the four physics books, respectively, while the inclusion came in rates (13.6%) for a chemistry (1) book, and (9.1%) for a chemistry (2) book, and (18.2%) for a chemistry (3) book. While none of the concepts of scientific tourism was mentioned in the chemistry (4) book, while the inclusion rate was (9.1%) for the biology (1) book, while none of the concepts of scientific tourism was mentioned in the biology (2) book and biology (3) book. and at a rate of (36.4%) for the environmental science book, and at a rate of (22.7%) for the Earth science book. The results also showed that there were (10) concepts out of (22) and at a rate of (45.5%) that were not included at all in any of the natural science books in the secondary school students. The results also indicate that there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) in dealing with books of natural sciences for scientific tourism concepts, which is attributed to the specialization of the book, and the level at which it is taught.
