يهدف هذا البحث إلى الوقوف على مواصفات معلم المستقبل، ومتطلبات إعداده، ولاسيما في ضوء المتغيرات العالمية، وتبدل أدواره في عصر التكنولوجيا، والتطور العلمي والثقافي، ومن ثم تعرف واقع برامج إعداد المعلمين في كلية التربية "بجامعة دمشق أنموذجاً، والوقوف عند الطرائق المعتمدة، والمناهج المتبعة في تأهيلهم، وذلك من أجل تطوير هذه البرامج في ضوء الأدوار التربوية الجديدة للمعلمين، وذلك بهدف إعداد مقياس لتقويم برامج إعداد المعلمين وفق متطلبات أنظمة الجودة العالمية وذلك لتحقيق الإصلاح المدرسي، الذي يعدد المعلم فيه حجر الزاوية، ونقطة الانطلاق. وسار البحث وفق إطارين:الإطار لأول: تحليلي وصفي، وذلك بدراسة واقع برامج إعداد المعلمين في كلية التربية بجامعة دمشق أنموذجاً "والوقوف عند مواصفات معلم المستقبل، ومتطلبات إعداده؛ وذلك لتطوير تلك البرامج وفق هذه المتطلبات. أما الإطار الثاني: فميداني تطبيقي تم من خلاله إعداد مقياس، وتقويم برامج إعداد المعلمين الحالية من خلاله وذلك وفق آراء عينة من أعضاء الهيئة التدريسية، والطلبة المعلمين. وقد خرج البحث بعدد من المقترحات، من أهمها: ضرورة مواكبة التغيرات العالمية، وتحقيق متطلبات الجودة كخطوة أساسية •للإصلاح المدرسي. أهمية إعداد المعلمين، وتأهيلهم على المستوى العربي، والمحلي وفق أنظمة الجودة•العالمية. تبني المقياس المقترح كأداة لتقييم برامج إعداد المعلمين في كليات التربية. The teacher is the cornerstone of the teaching process since he/she is one of the elements of teaching. This research aims at studying the characteristics of the future teacher and his new roles in the light of quality system requirements and their implementation in the educational field, the age of technology and knowledge.It also aims at recognizing the status of teacher preparation programmes in the Faculty of Education, Damascus University according to its outcome measurement in vocational, academic, cultural and social preparation. It also aims at preparing an inventory to evaluate teacher preparation programmes according to the international quality assurance which includes aims, content, instructional administration, the teaching staff, teaching methods, infrastructure and instructional technology. The research consists of two parts(theoretical and practical).The first one tackles the concept of total quality and its implementation in the educational field, and it describes the characteristics of future teacher and the requirements of his preparation to develop qualification programmes according to these requirements. The second one is practical through which an inventory for evaluating the current teacher preparation according to the opinions of a sample of the teaching staff and teacher student is constructed. The research concluded with a set of suggestions, the most important are: 1) The necessity of coping with the international changes and fulfilling quality requirements as a basic step in the school reform. 2) The importance of teacher preparation and qualification at the local and Arab levels according to international quality assurance systems. Adopting the suggested inventory as an instrument for evaluating teacher preparation programmes in the faculties of education. (Published abstract)
