The article presents the idea of "developing tolerance" in three aspects: society, education, school. The social foundation of tolerance is substantiated as a basis and a need at all times. The national and European idea of a consistent and responsible development of tolerance in its social and educational diversity is presented. A taxonomic model of tolerance education is proposed with a methodology developed on "knowledge of religion" as a cultural fact. A study conducted with primary school students under the author's program "Education for Interreligious Tolerance" is presented. (Published abstract)
