هدفت الدراسة إلى أهمية التمكين الإداري الذي يعد الوسيلة الفعالة لزيادة وتطوير كفاءة الأداء للقيادات الإدارية. أما مشكلة البحث من خلال اطلاع وعمل الباحثة داخل المؤسسة التعليمية لاحظت ان هناك تباين في كفاءة الأداء لبعض للقيادات الإدارية ولعل من اهم أسباب التي تعمل على ضعف كفاءة الأداء لبعض للقيادات الإدارية هو عدم تمتعهم بالتمكين الإداري وعدم مشاركتهم في صنع القرار أو التمتع بمتسع من الحرية في اتخاذ قرارات داخل الجامعة أو الكلية أو الصف مما يسبب ضعفاً في الأداء الوظيفي وهدف البحث إلى التعرف على العلاقة بين التمكين الإداري للقيادات الإدارية والأداء الوظيفي للعاملين في أقسام وكليات التربية البدنية وعلوم الرياضية. وتمثل مجتمع البحث القيادات الإدارية في كليات وأقسام التربية البدنية وعلوم الرياضية في العراق وهم(معاوني العميد ورؤساء الأقسام ومقرري الأقسام وأعضاء اللجنة العلمية وتقويم جودة الأداء والشؤون علمية ) والبالغ عددهم ( 170) من القيادات الإدارية، واستخدم الباحثان مقياسي التمكين الإداري لا استخراج النتائج كما استخدما الوسائل الإحصائية المناسبة، واستنتجا الباحثان هنالك علاقة بين التمكين الإداري مع كفاية الأداء للقيادات الإدارية في كليات واقسام التربية البدنية وعلوم الرياضة ، ويوصيا الباحثان إلى ضرورة تفعيل التمكين الإداري لما له دور فعال بالأداء الوظيفي.
