هدفت الدراسة إلى بناء مقياس لتميز الطلبة المتفوقين، في الذاكرة البصرية العاملة في المراحل العمرية المختلفة بالمملكة العربية السعودية، ولتحقيق ذلك تم استخدام المكونات البصرية المكانية، في بناء مقياس الذاكرة البصرية العاملة (VWMT) ،والمكون من (40) فقرة، وقد تم التأكد من خصائصه السيكومترية عن طريق عرضه على مجموعة من المحكمين المختصين، وباستخراج معاملات صدق البناء للمقياس، حيث جاءت معاملات الارتباط بين الفقرات والدرجة الكلية داله عند (α≤0.05). ولاستخراج معاملات الثبات للمقياس، تم تطبيق المقياس على عينة استطلاعية قوامها (56) مفحوصا، وإعادة تطبيقه بفارق زمنى مدته أربعة أسابيع بين التطبيقين، وكانت درجة الثبات للمقياس (0.79)، كما بلغ معامل الفا كرومباخ (0.893)، وبلغ معامل الثبات الكلي بطريقة التجزئة النصفية (0.855). مما يبرهن على صحة المقياس وموثوقيته، كما تم تحديد الدرجات المناسبة للحكم على الذاكرة للفئات العمرية المختلفة وعددها خمس فئات، وللوقوف على الفروق في الذاكرة العاملة، تبعا للفئات العمرية تم تطبيق المقياس على عينة مكونة من (540) فردا، تراوحت أعمارهم بين (6 إلى 30)، وكشفت النتائج عن وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية (α≤0.05)، في الذاكرة العاملة تعزى لصالح الفئة العمرية الأعلى. وقد أوصت الدراسة بتطبيق المقياس على عينات مختلفة للحد من التحديات التي تواجه التعليم، وبإجراء مزيد من الدراسات في هذا المجال. The aim of this study was to construct a visual working memory scale that suits different age groups and differentiate the talented students in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The visual-spatial components were used in constructing the visual working memory test (VWMT) which contains 40 questions. Its psychometric properties were verified. The scale was presented to a group of specialized arbitrators to examine the items validity. Testing the construct validity identified a significant (α ≤ 0.05) correlation coefficients between the items and the overall score. Pilot study was conducted on a sample of (56) individuals from different age groups and re-applied four weeks later to evaluate test- retest reliability, the degree of stability of the scale was (0.79), and the coefficient of Cronbach alpha was (0.893), the overall stability coefficient by the half-segmentation method reached (0.855). This proves the validity and reliability of the scale. The (VWMT) revealed good acceptance, reliability, and validity and shows excellent psychometric properties. The scale also was applied to a sample of (540) individuals whose ages ranged between (6) to (30) to distinguish the talented in working memory from the normal ones. The results revealed that there were statistically significant differences (α ≤ 0.05) in working memory for the benefit of the higher age group, and the study recommended applying the scale to different samples to reduce the challenges facing education, and also recommended conducting more studies in this field.
