هدفَ هذا البحث إلى بناء معيار أداء تدريسيي اللغة الإنكليزية في الجامعات العراقية ، وقياس مستوى أدائهم في أهمية المعيار المُعد بما يحتويه من فقراتٍ معيارية من خلال مجالات معايير TESOL وهي: (اللغة – الثقافة – التخطيط وتنفيذ المحاضرة– التقييم– التنمية المهنية)، وبطريقة عشوائية اُختيرَ (176) تدريسيا يمثلون نسبة 51% من المجتمع الكلي لتدريسيي اللغة الإنكليزية في جامعات (بغداد - المستنصرية - البصرة - ذي قار- ميسان - المثنى) بعدهم عينة البحث الحالي. وكشفت نتائج البحث عن عدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين وجهات نظر أعضاء هيأة التدريس وفق متغير الجنس في مجالات TESOL، ووجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين وجهات نظر أعضاء هيأة التدريس على وفق متغير اللقب العلمي. The present study aims at constructing a scale to assess the performance of English language instructors at the Iraqi universities in terms of TESOL areas of assessment (language, culture, lecture planning, classroom management, assessment and professional development). A random choice was made to choose 173 to represent 54% of the whole English language teaching staff members at the universities of (Baghdad, Almustansariyah, Basrah, Thi Qar, Muthana). The study results have shown that there is no statistically significant differences between the attitudes of the English language teaching staff members in terms of the variable of gender in the performance fields according to TESOL criteria.
