This study aimed to identify the effect of think-pair-share strategy on developing verbal mathematics problem solving skills (VMPSS) and reducing its solving anxiety (VMPSA) of the seventh grade students. For realizing that, the study used analytical descriptive and semi-experimental approaches, and a sample consisted of (61) seventh grade students belonging to educational administration of Abha, randomly divided into two groups: an experimental group (n=30) and a control group (n=31), and two prepared tools (a test of VMPSS and scale of VMPSA) were applied pre- and post-experiment for both groups during the first term 1437ah/2016ad. Findings deduced a list of VMPSS appropriated for the sample, showed significant differences between the mean scores of the two groups in the post- test and scale in favor of the experimental group, with a large effect size, and there was a moderate inverse relationship between VMPSS and VMPSA. A number of recommendations were presented. (Published abstract)
