هدف البحث الحالي إلى الكشف عن أهم القضايا العلمية والتكنولوجية المعاصرة التي ينبغي تناولها في محتوى منهج العلوم للصف الثالث المتوسط، واعتمدت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتكون مجتمع وعينة البحث الحالي من كتب العلوم للصف الثالث المتوسط، وبلغ عددها كتابين، بواقع كتاب لكل فصل دراسي، وبني البحث على قائمة ببعض القضايا العلمية والتكنولوجية المعاصرة التي يجب مراعاتها في محتوى منهج العلوم للصف الثالث المتوسط، وبطاقة تحليل المحتوى، كأداتين للبحث، وتوصل البحث إلى النتائج الآتية: لا يراعي محتوى منهج العلوم للصف الثالث بالمرحلة المتوسطة القضايا العلمية والتكنولوجية المعاصرة بشكل كافٍ. لا يعطي مؤشراً إيجابيا لتحقيق أهداف التربية العلمية والتكنولوجية لدى الطالبات، باعتبار ذلك المنهج يشكل عمادا أساسيا في النظام التعليمي. عدم تضمين قضايا نقص الطاقة بشكل تام. This research aims to explore the most important contemporary scientific and technological issues that should be addressed in the science curriculum content for the third intermediate grade. The researcher adopted the descriptive and analytical approach which consists of science books for the third intermediate grade. The researcher depends on two important tools: a list of some contemporary scientific and technological issues and the content analysis card. The research concludes that the content of the science curriculum for the third grade of middle school does not sufficiently take into account contemporary scientific and technological issues and it does not give a positive indication for achieving the goals of scientific and technological education among students.
