The study aimed at identifying problems related to the teacher, the student, and the courses that face the Arabic language teacher when evaluating the linguistic performance of secondary school students. The descriptive survey approach was applied, and the study population consisted of all Arabic language teachers at the secondary level in Taif, totaling (480) teachers, and all the Arabic language supervisors at the secondary level, who were (30) educational supervisor. The researcher chose a random sample consisting of 70% of the Arabic language teachers at the secondary level in Taif, which was (330) and all the Arabic language educational supervisors who were (30) educational supervisor. The researcher adopted the questionnaire, as the most appropriate way to gather information for this study. The most important results of this study were: The study revealed a high availability of evaluation problems relating to the teacher, the student, and the courses, with an arithmetic means of (3.50); which indicated a large approval of the study sample members. The problems of the evaluation of the linguistic performance were varied and they were at moderate level. The high problem was students' interest in testing for gaining grades only , with a mean of (4.6).The study showed that the degree of occurrence of problems was problems related to the student first, then to the teacher, then to the courses. The problems related to the teacher were of a mean of (3.6) and the highest was confronting of the Arabic teacher difficulties in evaluating large numbers of students per class. The problems related to the student were of a mean of (3.9) and the highest was the interest of students in tests for gaining grades only. The problems related to courses were of a mean of (3.1) and the highest was the congestion of textbook topics, which made time tight, and did not offer an opportunity to apply continuous and comprehensive.
