هدف البحث الحالي إلى تعرف فعالية استخدام قبعات التفكير الست في اكتساب المفاهيم البيولوجية وتنمية مهارات التفكير الإبداعي واتخاذ القرار لدى طلاب الصف الأول الثانوي. حيث تم إعادة صياغة وحدة "بناء الكائن الحي" المقررة على طلاب الصف الأول الثانوي في مقرر الأحياء في العام الدراسي 2012/ 2013، وتدريسها باستخدام قبعات التفكير الست، وتكونت عينة البحث من (53) طالبًا، قسمت لمجموعتين هما: ضابطة (29) طالبًا درست بالطريقة التقليدية، وتجريبية (24) طالبًا درست باستخدام قبعات التفكير الست، وتم تطبيق أدوات البحث - وجميعها من إعداد الباحثين - وهي: اختبار المفاهيم البيولوجية، ومقياس مهارات التفكير الإبداعي، ومقياس مهارات اتخاذ القرار على أفراد مجموعتي البحث قبليا وبعديا. وتوصل البحث إلى فعالية استخدام قبعات التفكير الست في اكتساب طلاب الصف الأول الثانوي المفاهيم البيولوجية، وتنمية مهارات التفكير الإبداعي، بينما لم يكن لقبعات التفكير الست فعالية في تنمية مهارات اتخاذ القرار. This research aimed at explore the effectiveness of using the Six Thinking Hats in acquisition the biological concepts and developing the skills of creative thinking and decision making for the first-grade students of secondary. The unit of "the building unit of living organism" were restructured by the Six Thinking Hats in the textbook of the biological curriculum of the above-mentioned grade for the year 2012/2013. The research sample consists of (53) student which divided into two groups: the control group, consists of (29) student, studied by the traditional method; and the experimental group, consists of (24) student, studied by the Six Thinking Hats. The research tools: the test of biological concepts that related to the unit, measures of creativity thinking skills, and measures of decision-making skills - all of them prepared by the researchers- applied to the two groups as a pre and post -tests. The research founded effectiveness of using the Six Thinking Hats in acquisition the biological concepts and developing the skills of creative thinking, while not for the Six Thinking Hats in the development of decision-making skills.
