إدمان الإنترنت بدأ ینظر إلیه كمشكلة مهمة لدى الشباب بدءً بإساءة الاستخدام للإنترنت. وعلیه، فقد هدفت الدراسة الحالیة التعرف إلى واقع إدمان الإنترنت وعلاقته بالشعور بالوحدة النفسیة لدى عینة من طلبة الجامعة فی فلسطین، وطبیعة الفروق بین الطلبة فی درجات كل من الإدمان على الإنترنت والشعور بالوحدة النفسیة، باختلاف الجنس ومستوى الاستخدام للإنترنت. استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفی الارتباطی، وطبقت مقاییس الدراسة على عینة متیسرة قوامها (450) طالباً وطالبة من خمس جامعات فلسطینیة، وتراوحت أعمارهم ما بین (19-26) عاماً، بمتوسط عمری قدره (22.71) وانحراف معیاری (2.31). أظهرت النتائج بأن متوسط إدمان الإنترنت لدى طلبة الجامعة وصل إلى (3.00)، أی بدرجة متوسطة بحسب معاییر المقیاس المستخدم. وبلغ متوسط الشعور بالوحدة النفسیة لدى الطلبة (2.58)، أی بدرجة متوسطة. كما أشارت النتائج إلى عدم وجود فروق دالة فی المتوسطات الحسابیة لإدمان الإنترنت أو الشعور بالوحدة النفسیة لدى الطلبة تبعاً لمتغیر الجنس، وأن درجة إدمان الإنترنت أو الشعور بالوحدة النفسیة لدى الطلبة ترتفع كلما ارتفع مستوى الاستخدام للإنترنت. وبینت النتائج وجود علاقة ارتباط موجبة ذات دلالة إحصائیة بین إدمان الإنترنت والشعور بالوحدة النفسیة، حیث بلغ معامل الارتباط بینهما (0.27)، أی كلما ازدادت درجة الإدمان على الإنترنت تزداد درجة الشعور بالوحدة النفسیة لدى الطلبة. Internet addiction has begun to be an important problem with youngsters starting to misuse interment. Accordingly, the present study aimed to identify the reality of Internet addiction and its relationship to the psychological loneliness among a sample of university students in Palestine, and the nature of the differences in Internet addiction and psychological loneliness according to gender and the Internet usage level among students. The study used a descriptive correlative approach, through an available sample of (450) students from five Palestinian universities, where there ages were between (19-26) years with an average of (22.71) and standard deviation (2.31).The results showed that the level of Internet addiction among university students was moderate with an average (3.00), and so the psychological loneliness with an average reached (2.58). The results also indicate a lack of significant differences in the averages of Internet addiction or psychological loneliness among students according to gender, and that the degree of Internet addiction or psychological loneliness among students rises higher with the level of Internet usage. The results showed the existence of a positive statistically significant correlation between Internet addiction and psychological loneliness, where the correlation coefficient between the two was (0.27), i.e., the greater degree of Internet addiction causes an increase in the degree of psychological loneliness among students.
