تهدف الدراسة هذه إلى إلقاء الضوء على استراتیجیات التذكر التی تستخدمها التلمیذات العادیات وذوات صعوبات التعلم الأكادیمی فی الریاضیات، وتحدید الفروق بینهن فی كل من استراتیجیات التشفیر والاسترجاع ، وكذلك تحدید مدى شیوع أحدى الاستراتیجیات عن غیرها لدى عینة من تلمیذات الصفوف الرابع والخامس والسادس الابتدائی فس مدارس منطقة عسیر بالمملكة العربیة السعودیة ، وقد استخدمت الباحثة اختبار المصفوفات المتتابعة لجون رافن لقیاس ذكاء الأطفال ـ استمارة المستوى الاجتماعی والاقتصادی ، إعداد أمیمه كامل وتعدیل الباحثة ـ قائمة ملاحظة سلوك الطفل لراسل ن . كاسیل Cassel , R . N. ـ اختبارات تحصیلیه للطالبات فی مادة الریاضیات للصفوف الرابع والخامس والسادس من المرحلة الابتدائیة من إعداد الباحثة - مقیاس صعوبات التعلم ، إعداد زیدان السرطاوی - ومقیاس استراتیجیات التذكر ، إعداد الباحثة ، وذلك على عینة كان قوامها (118) تلمیذة ، وانتهى البحث بوجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائیاً بین التلمیذات العادیات وذوات صعوبات التعلم الأكادیمیة فی مادة الریاضیات فی استخدام استراتیجیات التشفیر العمیقة والسطحیة ، وإستراتیجیة الاسترجاع وذلك لصالح التلمیذات العادیات ، وكذلك توصلت إلى أن أكثر استراتیجیات التذكر المستخدمة لدى التلمیذات العادیات هی إستراتیجیة التنظیم وإستراتیجیة التوضیح والتفصیل ، أما التلمیذات ذوات صعوبات التعلم الأكادیمیة فی الریاضیات فكانت إستراتیجیة التسمیع والتكرار.
