توصف صعوبات التعلم بانها بأنها إعاقة خفية محيرة، فالأطفال الذين يعانون من هذه الصعوبات يمتلكون قدرات تخفي جوانب الضعف في أدائهم؛ لأنها مجموعة متجانسة من الاضطرابات التي تتمثل في صعوبات واضحة في اكتساب واستخدام قدرات القراءة، الكتابة، الاستدلال الرياضي، لذا استهدف البحث للتعرف على صعوبات التعلم الأكاديمية في (القراءة، الكتابة، الرياضيات)، ومشكلات السلوك (العام، الحركي، الاجتماعي) التي يعانون منها، والعلاقة بينهما، وتحديد الاحتياجات الارشادية للتقليل من المشكلات السلوكية، وقد اتبع البحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي من خلال إعداد أداتين رئيستين لقياس صعوبات التعلم، والمشكلات السلوكية، وتطبيقها على عينة من تلاميذ الصف السادس في (16) مدرسة ابتدائية في أربع محافظات في وسط وجنوب العراق، وأظهرت نتائج البحث أن العينة تعاني من صعوبات التعلم الأكاديمية، وبكل مجالاتها، وتعاني من المشكلات السلوكية، وبكل مجالاتها، ووجود عدد من الاحتياجات الارشادية الضرورية، وأوصى البحث بعدد من التوصيات. Learning disabilities are described as a hidden and puzzling disability. Children with these difficulties have the potential to hide weaknesses in their performance because they are a homogenous group of disorders that consist of obvious difficulties in acquiring and using reading, writing, mathematical inference. Thus, the research aims to identify the disabilities of academic learning in (reading, writing, mathematics), identify the problems of behavior (general, motor, social). Identify the relationship among behavior problems. The research also aims to identify the counseling needs to reduce the behavioral problems. The researcher adopted the analytical descriptive method by preparing two main tools for measuring learning disabilities and behavioral problems, which were administered to a sample of sixth-grade pupils in (16) primary schools in four governorates in central and southern Iraq. The results of the study showed that the sample has academic learning difficulties and behavioral problems in all fields. Moreover, the study revealed a number of necessary guidance needs. The researcher came out with some recommendations. (Published abstract)
