هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على مدى تضمين مبادئ الدولة المدنية في كتب التربية الوطنية والمدنية في المرحلة الأساسية العليا للصفوف (الثامن والتاسع والعاشر) في الأردن، ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة استخدم الباحثان منهج تحليل المحتوى، استنادا ً إلى قائمة محكّمة تكونت من ستة مبادئ للدولة المدنية واشتمل كل مبدأ على جملة من الجوانب التي ينبغي أن يغطيها المحتوى بلغت (40) جانباً، وقد تم التحقق من صدق الأداة وثباتها. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أن أكثر المبادئ حضورا في المحتوى للكتب الثلاثة هي: تعليم المواطنة ثم التعددية السياسية ثم المشاركة السياسية ثم الديمقراطية ثم سيادة القانون وأخيراً الفصل بين السلطات، كما أن حضور المبادئ في المحتوى ليس معياره عدد تكرار كلمات المبدأ، بل بتأكيد حضور جوانبه جميعًا -كما وردت في استمارة التحليل- في السياق المناسب لها. وأوصى الباحثان بتطوير تأليف كتب التربية الوطنية بحيث يكون مدار تأليفها قائم على بناء الوعي بالدولة المدنية وبمبادئها، وضرورة الابتعاد عن الصياغات القانونية المجردة لمبادئ الدولة المدنية وجوانبها المتعددة والتحول إلى وضعها في سياقات حياتية تفاعلية تشرك الطلبة في الفهم والتفسير والتحليل والتقويم. The study aimed at identifying the extent to which the principles of the civil state are included in the textbooks of civic education in the basic stage of the eighth, ninth and tenth grades in Jordan. In order to achieve the objective of the study, the researchers used the content analysis approach based on the six principles of the civil state .A (40) aspects was listed under these six principles that should be covered by content, and the instrument's reliability and validity have been verified. The study found that the most important principles presented in the content of the three books are: education of citizenship, political pluralism, political participation, democracy, supremacy of the law and finally the separation of powers. The criterion of presence of principles in content is not of repeating the words but the presence of the principles in the appropriate context. The researchers recommended that the development of the textbooks of civic education should put the civil state principles in the core and woven upon. They emphasized the need to move away from the abstract legal formulations of the principles of the civil state to interactive life contexts that involve students in understanding, interpretation, analysis and evaluation case studies.
