هدفت هذه الدراسة التعرف إلى مدى توافر بيئة مدرسية آمنة وعلاقتها بالمشكلات السلوكية لدى طلبة المرحلة الأساسية العليا. واعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي الارتباطي، فاستخدمت استبانة لجمع البيانات، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (70) مرشدا ومرشدة من مديريات تربية محافظة اربد. وأظهرت النتائج توافر بيئة مدرسية آمنة بدرجة متوسطة في مدارس مديريات تربية محافظة اربد، ووجود علاقة ارتباطية سلبية بين توافر بيئة مدرسية آمنة والمشكلات السلوكية لدى الطلبة من وجهة نظر المرشدين التربويين، كما توصلت النتائج إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في متوسطات البيئة الأكاديمية والمعرفية تبعاً لمتغيري الجنس لصالح الذكور، والخبرة لصالح الفئة أقل من 5 سنوات. وفي ضوء نتائج الدراسة أوصت الباحثة بضرورة اهتمام الإدارة المدرسية بتوفير البيئة المدرسية الآمنة نظراً لانعكاسها على المشكلات الطلابية. This study aims to identify the extent of availability of a safe school environment and its relationship with behavior problems among higher basic stage students. The study followed the descriptive- correlation method; a questionnaire was developed to collect data from the study sample individuals. The study sample consisted of 70 educational counselors from Irbid Governorate directorates. The results indicated the availability of a safe school environment in a moderate degree in the schools of the directorates of the province of Irbid. The researcher found that there is a negative statistical significance correlation between the availability of a safe school environment and the behavioral problems among students as perceived by the school counselors. The study showed that there were significant differences in the academic and cognitive environment according to the gender variable in favor of males and the experience in favor of less than 5 years. In light of the results of the study, the researcher recommends the importance of the school administration to provide the safe school environment due to its reflection on the behavior problems of students.
