هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى قياس مؤشرات البيئة الجامعية النموذجية في جامعة عمان العربية للعام الدراسي 2006\2007م. تكونت عينة من جميع عناصر البيئة الجامعية وهي: الإدارات الجامعية العليا والمساندة، وأعضاء هيئة التدريس، والقائمون على أنشطة الجامعة وفعاليتها المختلفة، بالإضافة إلى 200 طالب وطالبة تم اختيارهم بطريقة عشوائية من مجتمع الدراسة الطلابي والبالغ عددهم 898 طالباً وطالبة. ولجمع البيانات تم استخدام مجموعة من أدوات القياس منها: وضع سجلات في كافة الإدارات الجامعية ومرافقها وفعالياتها، وتدوين الملاحظات من المشاهدات اليومية،والرجوع إلى السجلات والوثائق الرسمية في الجامعة، وإعداد استبانة للطلبة تكونت من 50 فقرة، اشتملت على بعض مؤشرات القياس المقترحة، وأشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى عدم توافر عدد من المؤشرات في بيئة الجامعة، كما أشارت النتائج إلى تفاوت القيم المقاسة لمعظم المؤشرات في درجة القرب أو البعد عن مؤشر الهدف المطلوب. وبناءً على ما توصلت إليه الدراسة من نتائج تم وضع بعض التوصيات بهدف تحسين وتطوير البيئة الجامعية لتكون بيئة جامعية نموذجية. This study aimed at measuring the indicators of the typical university environment in Amman Arab University for Graduate Studies for the Academic year 2006/2007. The population and sample of the study consisted of all component of the university environment, namely: the higher and the supporting university administrators, academic staff, the supervisors for the various activities and events, as well as 200 students who were randomly chosen from a population of 898 students (males and females). In order to collect the data, a set of measuring instruments were used, including: the status of the records in all administrations and facilities; taking notes based on the daily observations, referring a questionnaire for the students that consisted of 50 items represent some of the proposed measuring indicators. The results of the study indicated the non- existence of numbers of indicators variations for the measured values for most of the indicators in terms of closeness or being far of the required target indicator. Accordingly, a group of recommendations were proposed in order to improve and develop the university environment, so as to be a typical one. (Published abstract)
