The study aimed at identifying the role of male and female teachers in promoting the educational values included in the course "We and the Contemporary World" for basic grade eighth class in Al-Kamelin Locality in the State of Al-Jazera in Sudan. The researchers followed the descriptive analytical approach, and they used the content analysis form to derive the educational values included in "We and the Contemporary World" for basic grade eighth class, which were classified into seven main types: religious, social, ethical, economic, political, scientific and negative values. The researchers used the questionnaire as a tool for the study, the sample was chosen through a simple random method, which were 160 male and female teachers. The study data was analyzed using Statistical Packages for Social Sciences SPSS. The study found that, there are statistically significant differences between the opinions of the sample members in their role in promoting the religious, social, moral, economic and scientific values according to the gender variable in favor of the females, and in the political and negative values for the male. In the variable of scientific qualification, it came in favor of the master holders in the axis of religious and scientific values, while in favor of the bachelor holders in the axis of social, economic, political and moral values. But in the negative values, it came in favor of the bachelor and secondary degree holders. The results also revealed differences between the views of the sample members in the variable of the type of school in favor of the joint schools in the axis of religious, social, economic and negative values, whereas, in the axis of moral, political and scientific values in favor of girls' schools and joint schools. The study recommended the necessity of implementing training courses for teachers in teaching strategies and methods. And the need to familiarize teachers with the guide to teach the course “We and the contemporary world”, and achieve its objectives. (Published abstract)
