هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن نوع الأسلوب المعرفي (المجازفة، الحذر) وموقع الضبط (داخلي، خارجي) لدى طلبة جامعة الشارقة للعام الدراسي 2016 - 2017 كذلك الكشف عن العلاقة بينهما تبعاً لمتغير الجنس. ولتحقيق هذا الهدف، أعدت الباحثة مقياسين هما: مقياس الأسلوب المعرفي (المجازفة، الحذر)، ومقياس موقع الضبط (داخلي، خارجي). تمّ التحقق من صدقهما وثباتهما، وتم تطبيقهما على عينة عشوائية مكونة من (300) طالب وطالبة حيث أظهرت النتائج أن الأسلوب السائد لدى أفراد العينة هو الأسلوب المعرفي الحذر أكثر من أسلوب المجازفة ولصالح الذكور، وإن موقع الضبط لدى أفراد العينة هو داخلي بشكل عام، ولا توجد فروق دالة بين الذكور والإناث في هذا المتغير. كما أشارت إلى وجود علاقة منطقية بين الأسلوب المعرفي (المجازفة، الحذر) وموقع الضبط (داخلي، خارجي). The aim of this study was to identify the kind of cognitive style (risk, caution) as well as the locus of control (internal, external) among University of Sharjah students during the academic year 2016-2017, and to reveal the relationship between them according to the gender variable. To achieve this goal, two scales were developed: the cognitive style (risk, caution) scale, and the locus of control scale (internal, external). The scale validity and reliability were verified using a random sample of (300) male and female students. Results indicated that the cautious method was the prevailing cognitive style and the locus of control in students was internal. Also, gender played a role only in the cognitive style in favor of males. A moderate positive relationship between the cognitive method and the locus of control was also found. (Published abstract)
