ھدفت الدراسة تعرف مدى امتلاك مھارات اتخاذ القرار لدى طلبة التربية الخاصة بكلية التربية الأساسية بالكويت؛ والتعرف على مستوى تطور مھارات اتخاذ القرار، واستخدمت الدراسة المنھج الوصفي، واعتمدت على قياس مھارات اتخاذ القرار حيث تم تطبيقها على عينة بلغت (105) من طلبة قسم التربية الخاصة في كلية التربية الأساسية في دولة الكويت، وكشفت نتائج الدراسة عن أن مستوى مھارات اتخاذ القرار بشكل عام جاء مرتفعا، في حين تراوحت مستويات مھارات اتخاذ القرار في مقياس اتخاذ القرار بين المستوى المتوسط والمرتفع، كما أشارت النتائج إلى عدم وجود فروق في استجابات عينة الدراسة تعزى لمتغيرات (المستويات الدراسية، والتخصصات العلمية، والتقديرات الجامعية، والتخصص الجامعي). وقدمت توصيات في ضوء ما توصلت إليها نتائجھا منھا: تضمين المقررات الدراسية لحلاقات نقاشية تسھم في تعزيز وتطوير مھارات اتخاذ القرار لدى الطلبة في كليات التربية الأساسية. وإقامة دورات تعنى بتنمية مھارات اتخاذ القرار للطلبة التربية الأساسية، والاھتمام بتطوير مھارات اتخاذ القرار أثناء الخدمة وذلك بتضمين مركز التدريب التابع لوزارة التربية والتعليم. كما اقترحت إجراء دراسات مماثلة للتعرف على مستويات مھارات اتخاذ القرار لدى طلبة الأقسام الأخرى في كلية التربية الأساسية وكليات التعليم الأخرى. The purpose of the current study was to determine the extent to which the decision-making skills of the special education students at the Faculty of Basic Education in Kuwait were met and to identify the level of the decision-making skills development. The study made use of the descriptive method which was based on measuring the decision-making skills. The research was administered to a sample consisting of (105) at the Faculty of Basic Education in Kuwait. The results of the study revealed that the level of decision-making skills in general was high, while the levels of decision-making skills according to the decision-making scale varied (intermediate and high levels). The results also indicated that there were no differences in the study participants responses due to the variables of the study (the learners’ level, scientific specializations, university degrees, university specializations). Results recommendations were presented in the light of the results, namely, the inclusion of seminars within the courses to contribute in the promotion and development of the decision-making skills of students at the faculties of basic education, holding training courses focusing on the development of decision-making skills for basic education students and attention to the development of decision-making skills of the teachers via utilizing training centers of the Ministry of Education. The study also proposed conducting similar studies to identify the levels of decision-making skills of the students in other departments at the Faculty of Basic Education and the other faculties of education.
