هدفت الدراسة الكشف عن فاعلية استخدام استراتيجية (K.W.L) في تنمية بعض مهارات توليد وتقييم المعلومات في العلوم لدى طالبات المرحلة المتوسطة. تحددت في جانب نظري تم فيه الاطلاع على بعض الدراسات المتصلة بموضوع الدراسة، وجانب ميداني تحدد في إتباع المنهج التجريبي ذي التصميم شبه التجريبي المعروف بالتطبيق (القبلي والبعدي) لمجموعتي الدراسة التجريبية والضّابطة، كما تم تصميم وإعداد مواد وأدوات الدراسة والتي تحددت في وحدة دراسية تم إعادة إعداد دليل المعلمة وفقاً لخطوات استراتيجية(K.W.L) وكراسة أنشطة الطالبة، وبناء اختبار بعض مهارات توليد المعلومات واختبار بعض مهارات تقييم المعلومات، وتم التحقق من صدق وثبات أداتي الدراسة، وتم تطبيقهما على مجموعتي الدراسة والتي بلغت (63) طالبة بواقع (31) طالبة في المجموعة التجريبية درسن باستخدام استراتيجية (K.W.L) و(32) طالبة في المجموعة الضابطة درسن بالطريقة المعتادة، وعُولجت البيانات باستخدام اختبار تحليل التغاير، واختبار تحليل التباين ومعادلة مربع أوميجا. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا في التطبيق البعدي لاختبار بعض مهارات توليد المعلومات لصالح المجموعة التجريبية ووجود فروق دالة إحصائياً في التطبيق البعدي لاختبار بعض مهارات تقييم المعلومات لصالح المجموعة التجريبية، كما تراوح حجم تأثير الاستراتيجية على بعض مهارات توليد وتقييم المعلومات بين متوسط وكبير وتم في ضوء إجراءات الدراسة ونتائجها صياغة عددا من التوصيات والدراسات المقترحة. Aim of study: To identify the effectiveness of using (K.W.L) strategy on developing certain skills related to generating and evaluating information in science among intermediate student's school. Study procedures: Researcher in this study focused on two research approaches, a theoretical aspect derived from existing related studies and a field aspect which follows the experimental method with a quasi experimental design known as pre and post test for the two study groups (the experimental and the control). Materials and methods of the Study were designed and collected in one unit which reformulated according to the (K.W.L) strategy. In addition, tools such as teacher’s guide, student’s handbook and tests for generating and evaluating information were also prepared. After examining the reliability and validity of these tools, the Study has been conducted on total (63) students, (31) of them were in the experimental group using the (K.W.L) strategy and (32) students in the control group researching with the traditional method. Lastly, date collected from the study has been processed by using MANCOVA, MANOVA tests and ω square. Results: results of the study showed there were statistical differences in the post-test for the experimental group in skills of generating information. In addition, statistical differences showed in the post-test to skills of evaluating information for the experimental group as well. The effectiveness of the strategy on some skills of generating and evaluating information test ranges between medium and large. Finally, based on the current study and its results several recommendations and proposed studies have been suggested. (Published abstract)
