هدفت البحث الحالي إلى دراسة العلاقة بين المساندة الاجتماعية ومفهوم الذات لدى الأطفال ضعاف السمع، حيث تكونت عينة الدراسة من (16)، طفل بمدارس دمج الصم وضعاف السمع ذكور بمنطقة تبوك و(28)، طفلة بمعهد الآمل للصم وضعاف السمع للبنات بمنطقة تبوك بمجموع كلي: (44)، طفلا وطفلة وتراوحت أعمارهم من (8-12)، سنة بمتوسط عمري 10.6 وانحراف معياري 3.093، وقد اشتملت أدوات الدراسة على مقياس المساندة الاجتماعية للأطفال ضعاف السمع من إعداد الباحثين، ومقياس مفهوم الذات للأطفال ضعاف السمع إعداد الباحثين، وقد توصلت نتائج الدراسة إلى ما يلي :1) وجود ارتباط موجب دال إحصائياً بين متوسطات درجات الأطفال ضعاف السمع على مقياس المساندة الاجتماعية بأبعاده المختلفة ومقياس مفهوم الذات للأطفال ضعاف السمع. 2) عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة احصائية بين متوسط درجات الأطفال ضعاف السمع بين الجنسين (ذكور - إناث) على مقياس المساندة الاجتماعية. 3) عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة احصائية بين متوسط درجات الأطفال ضعاف السمع بين الجنسين (ذكور - إناث) على مقياس مفهوم الذات. The aim of the current study was to investigate the relationship between social support and self-concept among children with hearing impairment. The study sample consisted of (16) boys from deaf and hard of hearing's mainstreaming schools for boys in Tabuk region and (28) girls from Institute of Deaf Girls in Tabuk region, total = 44 children, the age of participants was 8-12 years with an average age of 10.6 and a standard deviation of 3.093. The study used the social support scale and the self-concept scale of hearing impaired children. The current study results indicated: 1) There is a statistically significant correlation between social support and self-concept of hearing-impaired children. 2) There were no statistically significant differences between the averages of social support scale among hearing impaired children according to gender. 3) There were no statistically significant differences between the average score on the self-concept scale among hearing impaired children according to gender.
