يهدف هذا البحث إلى التعرف على العلاقة الارتباطية بين الكفاءة الاجتماعية وتقدير الذات، ومعرفة ما إذا كانت هناك فروق بين الذكور والإناث ذوي صعوبات التعلم في كل من الكفاءة الاجتماعية وتقدير الذات، واشتملت عينة البحث على (40) من التلاميذ ذوي صعوبات التعلم بالمرحلة المتوسطة، مقسمين إلى (20) من التلاميذ (ذكور) ذوي صعوبات التعلم بالمرحلة المتوسطة (20) من التلميذات (إناث) ذوات صعوبات التعلم بالمرحلة المتوسطة، تراوحت أعمارهم ما بين(12-15)عاماً بمتوسط قدره (12.75) سنة، وتراوحت نسبة الذكاء ما بين(101-106) بمتوسط قدره (103.5)، واشتملت أدوات البحث على مقياس الكفاءة الاجتماعية للتلاميذ ذوي صعوبات التعلم بالمرحلة المتوسطة (إعداد: الباحث)، ومقياس تقدير الذات للتلاميذ ذوي صعوبات التعلم بالمرحلة المتوسطة (إعداد: الباحث)، وأسفرت نتائج البحث عن وجود علاقة ارتباطيه دالة احصائيا بين متوسطي درجات الذكور والإناث ذوي صعوبات التعلم على مقياسي الكفاءة الاجتماعية وتقدير الذات، وتوجد فروق ذات دلالة احصائية بين متوسطي رتب درجات الذكور والإناث ذوي صعوبات التعلم على مقياس الكفاءة الاجتماعية، كما وجد فروق ذات دلالة احصائية بين متوسطي رتب درجات الذكور والإناث ذوي صعوبات التعلم على مقياس تقدير الذات. This current research aims to identify correlated relationship between social competence and self-esteem, and to identify the differences between males and females with learning difficulties in each of social competence and self-esteem. the research sample was(20) male students with learning difficulties(20) female students with learning difficulties all of which in the intermediate stage, and aged(12-15) years with mean age (12.75) years, and IQ between (101-106) with an with mean(103.5). The research tools included: The social competence scale for students with learning difficulties. The research results showed that there is a significant statistically correlation between the mean scores of males and females with learning disabilities on the social competence scale and the self-esteem scale for students with learning difficulties in the intermediate stage. There are significant statistically differences between the mean scores of males and females with learning disabilities on the social competence scale. (Published abstract)
