The aim of the current research is to compare the average first grade students in public and private schools with the acquisition of scientific concepts in science. To achieve this, the research was limited to the first grade students in the public and private schools in the Diwaniyah governorate of the Directorate General of Qadisiyah Education for the academic year 2018-2019 The study sample was chosen from (4) schools at random, two of them governmental and two eligibility, and the researcher identified the number of individuals identified by (122) students. The researcher identified the scientific material with the basic scientific concepts of the content of the science book for the first intermediate grade (the first course). The researcher prepared a research tool to test the acquisition of the scientific concepts of the first intermediate grade. The final form consisted of (45) The first results showed that the average first grade students in the private schools were better than the average first grade students in public schools in acquiring the scientific concepts except the absence of statistically significant differences between the first grade students in the private schools and the first grade students in public schools in acquiring Scientific Concepts In light of this, the researcher made a number of recommendations and suggestions related to the results of the research.
