The study aimed to: 1) get acquainted with the Arabic language curricula in order to prepare teachers for the third and fourth years in the faculties of education in the Syrian Arab Republic to get to know the reality of social values contained in the curricula. 2) To demonstrate the role of social values in building, the character of the generations and strengthening their belonging, to their Arab nation and their civilizational heritage and training them to keep up with the developments and unions of the 21 century. 3) To shed light upon the role of the teacher in providing and teaching students the social values. The study shows the following results: 1) many of the social values did not help in the two books for the third and fourth years. But they were limited to mentioning some of the social values incidentally throughout the various parts of the Arabic language books. 2) The grammar part did not include social values because of following a methodology in mentioning the rule and its examples and some examples contained some contents of the social values. 3) Poems dealt with topics about descriptions, courtship, and lamentation but rarely dealt with social values in their contents. But prose articles did not touch on the social values, they were limited to some contexts. 4) Most of the mentioned values dealt with the aspect of work values, mastery, completion of work and simulation of regeneration and development. 5) The social identity was presented in terms of belonging and pride to the nation and society. 6) The general social values were presented through some of applied examples and proofs referring to social values such as honesty, cohesion, and brotherhood.
