The current study aims to identify the reasons behind students' Dropout at Hail University Preparatory Year from students' and faculty teaching members'. The population of the current study consisted of 397 males and females students and 62 male and female faculty teaching members during the academic year 2015-2016. After the application of the Dropout scale consisted of 45 paragraphs and divided into four aspects. And a questionnaire consisted of 3 unstructured questions distributed to the faculty teaching members to state the reasons behind the dropout and developing recommendations from their perspective. The results showed: that the most important dropout reasons were educational reasons, personal, social and economic ones. They also showed that there were statistical differences at (α 0.05) among the means of students’ anticipation on the dropout classes paragraphs as a whole. This was attributed to the variable GPA. It was significant that pass grade students were the most dropping participants and excellent grade students were the less dropping among the population. Moreover, there were no statistical differences on the gender and specialization variables. The results revealed that the faculty members responses to the reasons of Dropout were classified as follows: personal, educational, social and economic. The faculty members suggested a set of developing recommendations to limit this phenomenon. (Published Abstract)
