هدفت الدراسة وبشكل رئيس إلى التعرف على العوامل المؤثرة في طلب مديري المدارس التقاعد المبكر في منطقة الرياض التعليمية بالمملكة العربية السعودية. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة اعتمد المنهج الوصفي، وكانت العينة مكونة من 198 مديراً من مراحل التعليم الثلاث الابتدائية والمتوسطة والثانوية. أما أداة الدراسة فكانت استبانة من إعداد الباحث وتم توزيعها خلال الفصل الأول من العام الدراسي 1433/ 1434ه. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى عدد من النتائج أهمها: إن العوامل الوظيفية هي أكثر العوامل أهمية في طلب التقاعد المبكر، ويليها في الأهمية على الترتيب: العوامل الصحية، العوامل الاقتصادية، العوامل الشخصية، العوامل النفسية، والعوامل الاجتماعية. كما توجد فروق ذوات دلالة إحصائية (5%) من وجهة نظر أفراد عينة البحوث تجاه العوامل الاقتصادية والعوامل الوظيفية والعوامل الاجتماعية المؤثرة في طلب مديري المدارس التقاعد المبكر، تعزى لاختلاف متغير المرحلة الدراسية. وهناك فروق ذوات دلالة إحصائية (5%) من وجهة نظر أفراد عينة البحث تجاه العوامل النفسية والعوامل الاجتماعية والعوامل الصحية والعوامل الشخصية المؤثرة في طلب مديري المدارس التقاعد المبكر، تعزى لاختلاف متغير المؤهل الدراسي. كما توجد فروق ذوات دلالة إحصائية (5%) من وجهة نظر أفراد عينة البحث تجاه العوامل الاجتماعية والصحية والشخصية المؤثرة في طلب مديري المدارس التقاعد المبكر، تعزى لاختلاف متغير سنوات الخبرة في الإدارة المدرسية. The present study explored the factors influencing early retirement among school principals in Riyadh educational directorates, Saudi Arabia. The study population consisted of 198 government primary, intermediate and secondary schools principals in Riyadh . The study instrument was a questionnaire for data collection. The results showed that the job factors are the most important motives behind seeking early retirement among primary, intermediate and secondary schools principals in Riyadh Educational Directorates, Saudi Arabia. Other early retirement reasons included economic, personal, psychological and social factors. There are significant statistical differences (i.e. 5%) regarding the sample's view of economic and social factors as well as those attributed to the job conditions, influencing principals' decision to seek early retirement. There is a significant statistical difference among school principals attributed to the respondents' educational stage. There is also a significant statistical difference, 5%, in the study responders' point of view concerning psychological, social, health and personal factors stimulating school principals in Riyadh educational directorates attributed to the variable of educational qualifications. Finally, there is a significant statistical difference, 5%, in the study responders' opinions related to social, health and personal factors affecting the school principals early retirement in Riyadh educational directorates, which is attributed to the school management years of experience variable.
