هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على العلاقة بين تحقيق الحاجات الاتصالية ومفهوم الذات لدى طلاب كلية التربية في حمص، وفيما إذا كان هناك فروق بين الذكور والإناث في تحقيق الحاجات الاتصالية في مفهوم الذات وأبعاده الفرعية. تكونت عينة الدراسة من 320 طالباً منهم (128 ذكور و192 إناث)، تم اختيارهم عشوائياً من طلبة كلية التربية/جامعة البعث في حمص. توصلت الدراسة إلى النتائج الآتية: 1) توجد علاقة ارتباطية موجبة ودالة إحصائياً بين درجات الطلاب على مقياس تحقيق الحاجات الاتصالية ومقياس مفهوم الذات وأبعاده الفرعية. 2) توجد فروق دالة إحصائياً بين متوسطي درجات الذكور والإناث على مقياس تحقيق الحاجات الاتصالية. 3) لا توجد فروق دالة إحصائياً بين متوسطي درجات الذكور والإناث على مقياس مفهوم الذات وأبعاده الفرعية. This study aims to explore the relationship between communicative needs and self concept among faculty of education students in Homs University, and whether there are differences between males and females in achieving commu¬nicative needs in self concept and its subsidiary aspects. The sample of the study consisted of 320 students (128 males and 192 females), were selected randomly among students in faculty of education in Baath University “Homs”. Findings indicate: 1) There is a statistically significant positive correlation between the achievement of communicative needs and self concept as of the whole groups. 2) There are statistically significant differences, between the average of both males and females, in communicative needs. 3) There are no statistically significant differences, between males and females, in self concept and its collateral aspects.
