الهدف: هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على العلاقة بين المشكلات النفسية والاجتماعية وأنماط التوافق مع الحياة الجامعية لدى الطلاب. العينة: عينة من طلاب كلية التربية الأساسية المشاركين 214 مشاركا من الذكور والإناث. المنهج: تعد هذه الدراسة من الدراسات الوصفية التحليلية، لأنها تهدف إلى رصد وتوصيف المشكلات النفسية الاجتماعية وعلاقتها بالتوافق مع الحياة الجامعية. استخدم الباحثان المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، كونه المنهج الأكثر ملاءمة للدراسات الوصفية في الحصول على معلومات وبيانات لوصف الظاهرة. الأساليب الإحصائية: للتحقق من فرضيات الدراسة استخدمت المتوسطات والانحرافات المعيارية، واختبار (ت) لدلالة الفروق بين عينتين مستقلتين، وتحليل التباين الأحادي في اتجاه واحد (ANOVA)، ومعامل الارتباط التتابعي لبيرسون لتحديد العلاقة بين أبعاد المشكلات النفسية الاجتماعية وأبعاد التوافق مع الحياة الجامعية. الأداة: مقياس التوافق مع الحياة الجامعية (ATCS) Adjustment to college scale من (إعداد روبرت بيكر، بوهدن سيراك 1984؛ تعريب وإعداد عبد السلام 2006) وهو أداة لتقرير الذات متعددة الأبعاد بهدف القياس الكمي لتوافق طلاب وطالبات الجامعة مع الحياة الجامعية. النتائج: أشارت النتائج إلى وجود فروق على مشكلات الانطواء على الذات والمشكلات الشخصية لصالح الذكور، وعلى مشكلات مفهوم الذات والغضب وعدم الاستقرار الانفعالي لصالح الإناث، وعدم وجود فروق على الاغتراب والملل، أو الحالة الاجتماعية، وعدم وجود علاقة ارتباطية بين مقياس المشكلات النفسية الاجتماعية والتوافق مع الحياة الجامعية، ووجود علاقة ارتباطية موجبة بين مشكلة مفهوم الذات والتوافق الأكاديمي والالتزام بتحقيق الأهداف، وبين مشكلة عدم الاستقرار الانفعالي والتوافق الأكاديمي، والشخصي، والالتزام بتحقيق الأهداف، وبين المشكلات الشخصية والتوافق الأكاديمي، والالتزام بتحقيق الأهداف، كذلك فهنالك علاقة ارتباطية سالبة بين مشكلة الاغتراب والملل والتوافق الشخصي، وبين مشكلة الغضب والتوافق الشخصي، وبين المشكلات الشخصية والتوافق الشخصي. Aims: This study aims to compare between males and females in terms of the psychological and socia1 problems, compare between the different social cases in terms of the psychological and social problems and define the relation between the psychological and social problems and the adapting to the university life. Sample: It consists of 214 (Male/ Female) students of Faculty of Basic Education. Study Method: This study belongs to the qualitative- analytical type of studies, since its purpose is to depict and monitor the socio- psychological problems and their relation to coping with university life. Statistical Approaches: the study has used some statistical approaches to check up validity of hypotheses, using: averages, standard deviations, t-test, for differences between two independent samples, ANOVA analysis, Pearson’s coefficient correlation for defining the relationship between dimensions of the socio- psychological problems and adjustment to university life. Instruments: Adjustment to College Scale (ATCS), by Robert Baker, Bohaden Siryk, 1984, Arabized arid prepared by Abdel Salam, 2006, It is a multi- dimension instrument for self- report for quantative measurement of male/ female students’ adjustment to university life. Results: The results of the study reveal that there are differences concerning autism arid personal problems for the favor of the males and there are differences concerning Self- concept, anger and emotional instability for the favor of the females. While there are no differences regarding expatriation and bareness or social status. Moreover, there is no correlational relation between the measurement of psychological and social problems arid the adapting to the university life, while there is positive correlational relation between the self- concept problem and the academic consistency and commitment to goals achievement, between the emotional instability problem and the academic and personal consistency and commitment to goals achievement, and between the personal problems and the academic consistency and commitment to goals achievement. Furthermore, there is negative correlational relation between the expatriation and bareness problem and self consistency, between anger and self- consistency and between personal problems and self- consistency.
