هدف البحث إلى التعرف على العلاقة بين تقدير الذات والمخاوف الاجتماعية لدى طفل الروضة، والتعرف على الفروق بين الذكور والإناث في متغير الدراسة (المخاوف الاجتماعية)، وعلى الفروق بين الذكور والإناث في متغير الدراسة (تقدير الذات). وقد تكونت عينة الدراسة من 50 طفلا وطفلة من أطفال الروضة بالمستوى الثاني والثالث - عمر عقلي 4-6 سنوات، حصلوا على 75 فما فوق من درجة مقياس المخاوف الاجتماعية لدى طفل الروضة (إعداد الباحثتين)، وقد استخدمت الباحثتان أدوات البحث الآتية: مقياس المخاوف الاجتماعية لطفل الروضة (إعداد الباحثتين)، مقياس تقدير الذات لطفل الروضة (إعداد الباحثتين). وقد خلصت نتائج البحث إلى وجود علاقة ارتباطية سالبة ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى 0.05 بين المخاوف الاجتماعية وتقدير الذات لدى طفل الروضة، وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطات رتب درجات مجموعة الذكور والإناث على مقياس المخاوف الاجتماعية لصالح الإناث، لا توجد فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطات رتب درجات مجموعة الذكور والإناث على مقياس تقدير الذات.
