هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على أثر الخصائص الريادية (التحكم الذاتي، والثقة بالنفس، والحاجة إلى الإنجاز، والاستقلالية وتحمل المسؤولية، وتحمل المخاطرة، والإبداع) لدى طلبة تخصصات العلوم الإدارية بجامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا اليمنية في النوايا الريادية لديهم، وقد استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي للإجابة عن تساؤلات الدراسة، وتم تطبيق الاستبانة كأداة لجمع البيانات من عينة الدراسة البالغ عددهم (157) طالباً وطالبة، وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى وجود أثر ذي دلالة إحصائية للخصائص الريادية لدى الطلبة على نيتهم لإنشاء مشروعاتهم الريادية الخاصة، وبناءً على تحليل الانحدار الخطي البسيط، فقد أظهرت النتائج أن قدرة الطلبة على التحكم الذاتي وكذلك مستوى الإبداع لديهم يحدان من أهم الخصائص الريادية الأكثر تأثيراً على النية الريادية لديهم، بينما تبين أن الثقة بالنفس هي الأقل تأثيراً بين الخصائص الريادية في نية الطلبة للتوجه نحو إنشاء مشروعات ريادية، وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى أن طلبة العلوم الإدارية يتمتعون بخصائص وسمات ريادية عديدة وبدرجة كبيرة، وهذا يعزز لديهم الحماسة نحو الشروع بأعمالهم الخاصة وبدرجة نجاح عالية، إذا توافرت الظروف البيئية المساعدة لذلك، وفي ضوء نتائج الدراسة قدم الباحث مجموعة من التوصيات للأطراف المعنية. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of entrepreneurial characteristics (locus of control, self-confidence, need for achievement, independency and responsibility, risk-taking, creativity) on entrepreneurial intentions among business students in the University of Science and Technology, Yemen. The researcher used descriptive analytical methods to answer the study questions, and used a questionnaire for collecting quantitative data from the study sample which consisted of 157 university students. The study findings showed that there was a significant effect of entrepreneurial characteristics on the intentions to start new ventures among business students in the University of Science and Technology. Based on the regression analysis applied in the study, results also showed that students' locus of control, and their creativity level were of the highest influencing variables on students' intentions, whereas self-confidence appeared to be the lowest influencing variable. The study concluded that students of administrative sciences have several characteristics and traits of a successful entrepreneur. This enhances their enthusiasm towards initiating their own businesses, given proper support. In light of the findings, the researcher presented a set of recommendations to the stakeholders.
