The research aims to: 1)Identification of the effects of teaching curriculum in teaching basic skills and development of mental abilities in football for freshmen students at college physical education - Salahaddin university/Erbil. 2- Identification of the effects of training curriculum in teaching basic skills and development of mental abilities in football for freshmen students at college physical education - Salahaddin university/Erbil. 3)Identification of the effects of mixed (training-teaching) curriculum in teaching basic skills and development of mental abilities in football for freshmen students at college physical education - Salahaddin university/Erbil. 4)Identification of differences between applied curriculums in teaching basic skills and development of mental abilities in football for freshmen students at college physical education - Salahaddin university/Erbil. The researchers utilized experimental approach which appropriates with the nature of the research. The research sample is driven from research population and divided into three experimental groups and the experiment group selected by draw in order to apply teaching and training, the proportion of research sample to research population was % 63.03. Moreover, the researchers utilized the following statistical tools (mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation, regression, independent t test, F ration and Least significant difference L.S.D). After data analysis, the researchers concluded the following: The proposed teaching curriculum by researchers had a clear influence in teaching basic skills and development of mental abilities in football for freshmen students at college physical education - Salahaddin university/Erbil except middle and long pass skills. There is a superiority for third experiment group (training-teaching style) on both (teaching style and training style) groups in developing mental abilities of freshmen students at college physical education - Salahaddin university/Erbil. The researchers recommend the following: The teaching-training curriculum proposed by researchers is likely to be advantageous for lectures in the field of education in teaching basic skills and development of mental abilities of physical education students at Kurdistan region universities. Confirmation on utilizing mental exercises through activities featured by fun and thrill in football to increase teaching and develop main skills and mental abilities of students.
