This research aimed to identify the relationship between self-esteem and assertive behavior of among intermediate male and female school students. It also aimed to identify the differences in self-esteem and the assertive behavior among the students. The research subject used consisted of (120) male and (120) female third grade students in Makkah. The researchers administered self-esteem scale and assertive behavior scale. The research results showed that there was significant positive relationship between self-esteem and assertive behavior among the study subjects. They have also concluded that there were differences in self-esteem and assertive behavior between male and female students in favor of male students. (Published Abstract)
