The Present research aims at recognizing the effectiveness of Suchman’s inquiry model in teaching Geography on developing achievement and the skills of solving problems of the second year preparatory pupils. The sample used two groups. The first group was experimental that was taught according to Suchman’s Inquiry model. The other was a control group that was taught using the traditional way. The achievement test and problem-solving test were prepared and applied on the two groups. The researcher made pre and posttests. The results proved that there are statistically significant differences between means of scores of the experimental group and the control group in the post administration of the achievement test and solving- problem skills test in favor of the experimental group. The research results also proved that there are statistically significant differences between means of scores of experimental group students in pre-post administration of two tests favor of post administration, showing the effectiveness of suchman’s inquiry model in teaching geography on developing achievement and the skills of solving problem of the second year preparatory pupils.
