استهدفت الدراسة الحالية التعرّف على مشكلات تناول الطعام لدى أطفال التوحد وعلاقتها بمتغيرات الجنس والعمر ودرجة الإعاقة. وقد تكوّنت عيّنة الدراسة من(75) من أولياء أمور أطفال التوحد من المسجلين بمعهدي التربية الخاصة للطلاب والطالبات بشرق مدينة الرياض التابع لوزارة التعليم للعام الدراسي 2015/2016، ممن تراوحت أعمارهم ما بين 6 سنوات و 14 سنة. وتمّ استخدام مقياس التميمي وسيد علي (2014) " مقياس تناول الطعام لدى الأطفال ذوي التوحد" لتحقيق ذلك. أشارت النتائج إلى أن الانتقائية المفرطة في تناول الطعام كانت المشكلة التي غالبا ما تحدث بين أطفال التوحد، تليها مشكلة رفض الطعام. وأوضحت النتائج أيضا وجود علاقة ذات دلالة بين مشكلات تناول الطعام لدى أطفال التوحد وبين متغير الجنس وذلك لصالح الأطفال الذكور، ومتغير العمر وذلك لصالح الأطفال الصغار ممن تراوحت اعمارهم ما بين ست سنوات وأقل من عشرة سنوات. في حين لم تظهر النتائج فروقا دالة لمتغير درجة الإعاقة على مشكلات تناول الطعام لدى أطفال التوحد. The purpose of the current study was to investigate feeding problems in children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and its relationship with some variables. Seventy five fathers and mothers of autism children from Riyadh special education institutes participant in the study. Al Tamimi and Said Ali Feeding Problems Scale (2014) were used to collect data for this study. The results indicated that excessive selective eating was a problem that often occurs among children with autism, followed by the problem of refuse food. The results showed also significant relationship between eating problems with autistic children and the variables of gender in favor of male children, and variable of age for the benefit of young children under the age of ten years. While the results did not show differences for variable of the degree of disability. (Published Abstract)
