استهدفت الدراسة تحديد الاحتياجات التدريبية لأعضاء هيئة التدريس في الجامعات الأردنية الرسمية في ضوء متطلبات اقتصاد المعرفة وتكونت عينة الدراسة من ( 620 ) عضوًا وطور الباحث استبانة مكونة من(72) فقرة موزعة على ثمانية مجالات، وتم التأكد من صدق الأداة وثباتها ومن ثم توزيعها على عينة الدراسة، وتم تحليل البيانات. وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن الحاجة التدريبية لأعضاء هيئة التدريس في الجامعات الأردنية الرسمية في ضوء متطلبات اقتصاد المعرفة كانت بدرجة متوسطة في المجالات الآتية ( التخطيط، والتدريس، والاتصال والتواصل، واستخدام التكنولوجيا، والبحث العلمي، والمهام الإدارية، والتقويم )، وأن درجة الحاجة التدريبية لأعضاء هيئة التدريس في الجامعات الأردنية الرسمية في ضوء متطلبات اقتصاد المعرفة كانت بدرجة عالية في مجال المجتمع المحلي. وقد أوصت الدراسة بحث إدارة الجامعات على عقد دورات تدريبية في كافة مجالات الدراسة حيث كانت درجة الحاجة التدريبية متوسطة. This study has been conducted to identify the training needs of the faculty members of the Jordanian public universities in the light of the requirements of the knowledge economy. The study sample consisted of (620) members. The researcher designed a questionnaire consisting of 72 items distributed into eight variables. The reliability and validity of the questionnaire were confirmed, and then it was administered to members of the study sample; the data were analyzed. The study showed that the degree of training needs of the faculty members in the Jordanian public universities in the light of the knowledge economy requirements were moderate in the following fields (planning, teaching, communication, use of technology, scientific research, administrative tasks and evaluation), and there was a high degree of training needs of the faculty members in the Jordanian public universities in the light of the requirements of the knowledge economy, particularly in the field of the local community. AS the degree of training needs of the university faculties. The study recommended that the university administrations hold training courses in all fields of the study t the training needs of which were moderate. (Published Abstract)
