Psychology in general and sociology in particular assert the close connection between individuals attitude and his/her conduct in real life situations, thus the psychological attitudes have a great academic as well as practical importance . The individual's attitudes are connected to their needs more than the connection with the objective features of attitudes. The researchers aimed at knowing students of history attitudes toward their specialization. Knowing attitudes in different levels by using a scale of attitudes towards specialty. This scale consists of 24 teams conducted on a sample of 162 students from different levels. The student conceded the following .attitudes of Students of history in the college of education was negative in general, in addition there were significant statistical differences between fourth years students in comparison with first year ones. the results revealed that first year students is have the most negative attitudes .the results revealed no significant statistical differences due to gender factors .In the light of the results, the researchers recommended the usefulness of the attitude scale in others studies on other topics . In addition, to recommend that Instructors of history department most encourage their student to be interested in their specialization. The researchers suggest to conduct similar study taking other variables such as (economical, social and cultural status),and to conduct a study by making a comparison between departments of history in colleges of arts and educations.
