نالت كفايات المعلمين اهتمام العديد من الباحثين في المجال التربوي، وصار تحديد الكفايات اللازمة للمعلم أمراً مهماً، حيث من خلالها يتم وضع المعايير والمؤشرات التي تدل على الكفاءة المهنية للمعلم. ومن هنا جاء هذا البحث الذي يهدف إلى تحديد احتياجات النمو المهني لمعلمات العلوم للمرحلة الابتدائية في ضوء كفايات معلم العلوم. وتمت الإجابة على تساؤل البحث الآتي: ما هي احتياجات النمو المهني لمعلمات العلوم للمرحلة الابتدائية في ضوء كفايات معلم العلوم؟ تكونت عينة البحث من 29 معلمة علوم للمرحلة الابتدائية، بمحافظتي حوطة بني تميم والحريق. ومن أهم النتائج التي خلص إليها البحث: ارتفاع قيم متوسط استجابات أفراد العينة ونسبها المئوية على معظم الكفايات الموجودة في الاستبانة، وتشير هذه النتيجة إلى أهمية الكفايات المتضمنة في الاستبانة من وجهة نظر معلمات العلوم للمرحلة الابتدائية. وأخيرا، قدمت توصيات ومقترحات لبحوث مستقبلية. Teachers competencies gained the attention of many researchers in the field of education. Therefore pointing to these teachers competencies become very important, because through them we can put the criteria and indicators that show the professionalism of teachers. Thus this research, aims to determine the need of professional growth for science teachers at the primary level in the light of science teacher competencies. This study has answered the following questions: What is the need of professional growth for science teachers at the primary level in the light of the competencies of a science teacher? The study sample consisted of 29 Science teachers at the primary level from the following provinces, Hotat Bani Tamim and Alhareeg. One of the most important results of the research is the high average values of sample responses and the percentage of all competen¬cies in the questionnaire. This result indicates the importance of skills included in the questionnaire from the point of view of science parameters for the primary stage. Finally this study provides some recommendations and suggestions for future research. (Published abstract)
