The aim of the study knows the effect of conception maps in the acquisition of the concept of school theatre for the fourth year preparatory female school students. The researchers use experimental – control design with pretest and post test to achieve the aim of the study. The fourth year preparatory female school students – literary branch – from Fatima preparatory school for girls – Baquba district – Diyala has been chosen to represent the sample of the study for the academic year 2012 – 2013. The sample has been distributed randomly into two groups. The first group is experimental which consists of (8) students taught by using conception maps and the second group consists of (8) students taught in the normal way. The researchers constructed cognitive test consists of (20) items with multiple choice items. The researchers verify the test validity, property as well as its reliability. The results of the study arrives at the positive effect of teaching by using (conception maps) in learning and acquiring the concept of school theatre more than the effect of the normal way used in teaching concept of school theatre. (Published Abstract)
