خلص الباحثون المعاصرون إلى أنه أصبح من الضروري أن تكون وسائل وأساليب الكشف عن الموهوبين متعددة حتى يتم التعرف على أقصى ما يمكن من مجالات الموهبة المختلفة لدى الفرد والكشف عنها. وبناءً على ذلك، ظهرت معايير أخرى لاختيار الطلبة الموهوبين مثل اختبارات الابتكار، ومقاييس التقدير السلوكية، واختبارات التحصيل المدرسية، وتقديرات المعلمين والوالدين والأقران، وقائمة السمات الشخصية. وفي هذا السياق، ثمة إجماع علمي على أن تحقق قوائم الخصائص السلوكية التوافق بين الاختبارات المعرفية وملاحظة السلوك. واستناداً لما سبق، جاءت هذه الدراسة لتوافق الاتجاهات الحديثة، وذلك من خلال بناء مقياس للخصائص السلوكية ووضعه في إطار منظومة متكاملة متعددة المعايير متماشية مع النظريات الحديثة في الكشف عن الموهوبين في المرحلة الجامعية، مما يمكننا من رعاية موهبتهم واتخاذ قرارات بحقهم كموهوبين، وبناء البرامج الإثرائية بالاعتماد على خصائص الموهوبين الفعلية. ولهذا، تعرض الدراسة مقياس الخصائص السلوكية "IBC-for-GSI للتعرف على الطلاب الموهوبين بجامعة الملك فيصل وخصائصه السيكومترية، وهذا المقياس مكوّن من خمسة أبعاد، هي بمثابة مقاييس مترابطة، وهي البعد المعرفي، والوجداني، والدافعي، والمجالي، وبعد الوسائط البيئية. وقد بينت النتائج أن المقياس الذي تم بناؤه، يتصف بمواصفات سيكومترية رفيعة تجعله أداة هامة للكشف عن الطلاب الموهوبين في الجامعة، وأن قيمته التنبؤية عالية بالنسبة للتحصيل الدراسي، كما تم تقديم النتائج من تحليل العلاقات بين عدة متغيرات مثل الجنس، والتخصص الدراسي، والسنة الدراسية. وأخيراً قُدمت توصيات وأفكار لتطوير منظومة الكشف عن الموهوبين في الجامعة. Contemporary researchers concluded that it has become necessary for the giftedness identifying approach to be a multidimensional and a multimethod approach to allow making out most of the different areas of giftedness in individual. Accordingly, other criteria are proposed for gifted student’s identification and selection such as innovation tests, behavioral assessment tests, school achievement tests, estimates of teachers, parents and peers, and inventories of personality traits. In this context, there is a scientific consensus that behavioral characteristics inventories create compatibility between cognitive dimension tests and behavior observations. Based on the above, the current study matches modern trends, by conceiving a behavioral characteristics test and putting it in a comprehensive multi-criteria system which is consistent with modern theories in gifted identification in undergraduates. This enables us to take care of gifted students, make right decisions, and build adapted enrichment programs. The present work presents the psychometric characteristics of the scale. The proposed test “AIBCfor- GSI” is composed of five dimensions, which can serve as interdependent subtests: cognitive dimension, emotional dimension, al dimension, field dimension, environmental dimension. Results showed that the scale is good enough to be used as a gifted identification tool, and that its predictive value is high for academic achievement. Results also allowed to analyze the relationships between several variables such as gender, specialty, and academic level. Finally, we propose some recommendations to enhance gifted identification system and process. (Published Abstract)
